CHILD CARE NEWSLETTER - SEPTEMBER 2010 What a great start to our school year we have had.  We have 10 students enrolled in our VPK program and we have enrolled new students in both our two and three year old classes.  We still have room in all classes but the spaces are filling up fast.  Our center held a workday/workshop  for our employees on Saturday, August 7th and we had such a wonderful and informative time we decided to do another one in January.  These annual events just keep getting better and better. 

We are so fortunate to have so many hard working and dedicated members of our church that help us in our ministry to the community.  Mike Smith, Larry Seamen, Norm White, Herb Carines, Cordelia Scheuermann, Tom Page, Shilah Felder  and of course our committee chairman Dave Hertzler who have assisted in the upkeep of our facility and day to day maintenance.  A special thank you to Al Smith and the entire congregation for their prayers and support.   It not only takes a village it takes an entire church to raise a child.

Don’t forget to save those Campbell Soup labels (and related products).  We appreciate any art supplies that you are no longer using or any other items that you would like to donate to our school that could be used in art projects.  We also could use sand toys and other outside toys if your children have outgrown those riding vehicles.  Remember all donations are tax deductible. 

 

 

AUGUST NEWS: 

We have been approved for the VPK program starting in August.  We still have a few slots left.  If you know of anyone who is looking for a great place to put their VPK student please have them call us or come by anytime between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. 

Our school for all ages will begin on Monday, August 9th.  We still have room in all classes. 

We are very happy to see our returning teachers again this year; in the Two Year Old Class, Patricia Sennett, Shilah Radcliffe, Kaitlyn Lunsford and Chelsea Lamontagne; in the Three Year Old Class will be Michele Roberts, Robyn Mills and Cathy Carlock; in the Four Year Old VPK class will be Kelly Malik and Nancy Martin.  Our Infant room is staffed by Sherrie Dautrich and our Toddler Room is staffed with Heidi Bustamante and Karen Fahrion. We also have Kathy Ingram filling in where needed and doing the Nap Room.

We look forward to another great year at the MIPC Child Care Center.
