Big Girls Only
The Big Girls Only Bible study will begin the Fall Session at 9:30 am on Wednesday, September 15th in the Session Room. We will be studying “God’s Awesome Cast of Characters” a review of well-known Bible characters beginning with David ,“The man after God’s own heart”, and moving on to such interesting and controversial people as Sarah, who became a first-time mom at age 90; Moses, the original Presbyterian (come and find out why??); Abraham, Middle-East world traveler. See how God has used the strangest people to work out His will in the world! You’ll enjoy the warm, funny women who make up this group. Come join us; you’ll be glad you did.

It’s summertime, school’s out, and so is our Big Girls Bible Class. We will break for the summer, beginning June 1st, and resume our study of David (the man after God’s own heart) in September. Have a wonderful, restful summer!
Our Wednesday morning Bible Study, Big Girls Only: a light-hearted, but in-depth Bible study group of women that study the “adult” material of the Bible. 9:30-11 AM Wednesday mornings in the Session Room.
First the bad news; then, finally, the good news! Our Wednesday morning meetings are about the really strange book of Revelation, which (according to many scholars) describes what would happen in the “End Times”. Black, red, and white horses; pale riders; the seven trumpets you would never want to hear even Hollywood would find it hard to compete with Revelation! But fear not – the good guys win in the end. Join this funny, loving group of Christian women on Wednesday mornings at 9:30. You’ll be so welcome!

Come join our friendly group of wonderful women on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am in this New Testament Bible Discussion Group. This month Big Girls Only will be studying the last books of the Bible - after five years of study, we’re almost finished with the Good Book! We’ll begin May with the letter to the Hebrews. Who wrote Hebrews? Who knows?? Nobody is for certain, maybe Paul, maybe not. But whoever its author, he knows a lot about the Old Testament and he knows that God’s Son, Jesus, was mentioned throughout and that there’s no doubt that Jesus was the long-sought Messiah.

The author gives some timely admonitions that apply to Christians today! The class will also be studying the book of James, a “general letter”. Many scholars believe that the writer was James, a brother of James. And he has lots to tell today’s Christians also. (I love James - Martin Luther became so upset by the little book that he is supposed to have ripped the book of James from every Bible he found!) Come see what James has to tell us.
The Wednesday morning Bible class will be studying the “little letters” of the New Testament: Peter’s letter, the “Dear John” letters (no they are not full of bad news, but rather good news!), and letters of Jude (he says “Hey”!) Interesting people, wonderful class members! Come join us at 9:30!
